
Dr. Jennifer Stowe has recently joined PLS 3rd Learning as the Director of Education Initiatives. Prior to coming to PLS, Dr. Stowe served as the Director of the Online Graduate Program in Literacy at Canisius College. There, she developed new graduate courses, managed instructors, and ensured that both graduate courses and clinical experiences aligned to state licensure requirements. While at the School of Education and Human Services, Dr. Stowe also led a reader mentorship program at a school in the City of Buffalo School District.
Before moving to Buffalo, NY, she lived in South Carolina where she taught middle school English Language Arts and high school English and AP Language and Composition. As a classroom teacher, she brought groups of students to Belize and Costa Rica and mentored new teachers in teacher induction programs. Dr. Stowe holds a doctorate in Language and Literacy from University of South Carolina, Columbia, a Master of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Arts in English, Secondary Education from Bryan College. Dr. Stowe is a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve where she earned the Air Force Education and Training Command, Commander’s Award.
