As we reflect upon the past year, we’re reminded how much we value our team, college partners, and participants. As we prepare for the New Year, we thought we’d share some highlights from 2022.
Our New Corporate Office is Taking Shape
Renovations are almost complete at the PLS 3rd Learning Headquarters at 678 Main Street in Buffalo, NY. Our new state-of-the-art space consists of an open collaborative concept with plenty of comfortable seating options, smart boards, a new recording studio, wellness room, and more. Completion date will be in early 2023. We are so excited to share more details and photos with you in the coming months.
We Got Back Together
In anticipation of COVID-19, we left our offices one cold day in March of 2020 with the plan to have a trial work from home day. The next day, the world was put on pause and since then, we’ve worked remotely. In March 2022, we were finally able to safely hold our first in-person company-wide meeting. At PLS, we quickly realized nothing beats being together!
Our In-House Recording Studio, Nickel City Sound & Media Produced Over 150 Podcast Episodes
Our in-house recording studio, led by Joseph Jacobs, produced over 90 episodes of Barkley Ponders Out Loud, a podcast by Education Consultant and PLS Chief Learning Officer and EVP Steve Barkley, and 67 episodes of the Advancing Women Podcast by Dr. Kimberly DeSimone. As we write this article, Barkley has over 200K+ streams of his podcast and Dr. DeSimone has over 12.8k streams.
PLS Classes Reaches of 23K+ Enrollments in Our Graduate Courses for K-12 Educators
After moving our graduate on-site courses to remote learning during the pandemic, this year we brought back in-person learning and we saw 23K+ enrollments in our courses. To create a better, more intuitive experience for our participants, we also launched a new marketing and registration website. Make sure to check it out if you haven’t seen it yet!
SuperEval Supports Over 2,000 K-12 Leaders
SuperEval, an online platform that provides leadership evaluations for K-12 educators, is now used in eight states across the country and at an international school in Bolivia. We support over 2,000 school leaders and are expanding to support independent and private schools as well. In addition, we’ve added more evaluation rubrics to our growing and impressive library.
We Grew
The pandemic might have put a damper on some aspects of our lives, but it did not stump our growth and development as new projects and demands paved the way to add six new talented members to our team. (You can read more about them on our blog). And, this year we welcomed two new baby girls into the PLS Family — Maisie and Sloane.
